Lady Savage #1 Comic by Gary Petras

Love the artwork and story. I've collected jungle heroines all the way back to the 40s. This one is spot on, with a mature contemporary vibe. Can't wait for the next one.

Great book!

It has been a long time for me as a fan of jungle hero characters to get excited by the arrival of a new Tarzan-esque character. After a long time of absence of new characters of that ilk, Lady Savage comes to us with a story that feels like reading a classic jungle hero story in the style of Tarzan and Sheena queen of the jungle. I find Lady Savage to be a very charming character that is both empathetic and cool, the fanservice on the character is just enough to be tasteful and not over the top and ridiculous. The art is simple, charming and serviceable but nothing to write home about (good art). My only Caveat is that the "thrilling" fights in the comic were over in a second, especially the climactic confrontation with the sabertoothed cat that was set up so nicely and made me excited to see how the battle would enfold. That felt kind of disappointing. I wish there were more pages and that the story was slightly longer. All in all I had a great time reading the comic book. I wish my little review is helpful for the creators involved and be used as constructive feedback. I have high hopes for the next issues of the series and I would encourage anyone who likes jungle hero adventure stories to check the series if they find it.
PS: I wish courage and strength to the creators of the comic so that their series comes to completion and not be stopped in the middle. Keep up the good work.
